Put simply, yes you can. However Vispring have specifically recommended a pairing for each model of mattress and divan base. These are paired based on the spring count and upholstery fillings used within both the Vispring mattress and the Vispring divan base, to better complement each other and provide the optimum level of comfort and support. Using a Vispring Divan Base has been found to increase comfort by up to 40%.

If you and your partner are different body weights you may find you require different levels of support. A Vispring combination tension mattress allows you to share one sleeping surface, whilst catering for both body types, by selecting a different spring tension on either side, providing the correct level of support for you both (e.g. soft + medium or medium + firm).

If you opt for a Vispring combination tension mattress, then to turn the mattress, you can flip it from top to toe.

If you are both differing weights but do not want a combination tension, then you must opt for the tension that will best support the heavier person. You can then always add a mattress topper for extra softness for the lighter weight person.

The Vispring Bedstead Mattress collection are mattresses that have been designed specifically for slatted bases. Whilst Vispring do have a specific mattress collection for bedsteads, you can put any Vispring Mattress on to a slatted base, when doing so we always recommend using a Vispring Mattress Pad. This protects your mattress from the wear and tear of a slatted base.

All Vispring mattresses have a 30-year product guarantee against their craftsmanship. With regards to the comfort it is recommended to consider a new mattress after 10 years as our bodies and preferences change over the years.

If you decide that you have ultimately chosen the wrong Vispring mattress spring tension to suit you, you may make a one-time only exchange of your Vispring mattress for a different spring tension. Simply get in touch with one of our team who will get the ball rolling. Please note this exchange does hold a small fee of £100 and must be evoked between 30 and 90 nights of your mattress being delivered. Your new mattress will remain the same model and the same size however it will be made with your new spring tension. Your existing mattress will then be collected at the same time as your new mattress is delivered, and then subsequently returned to Vispring and donated to a charity.
