The Lyon Large 2 Drawer Bedside Chest is part of our Lyon bedroom furniture collection, which has a simple yet chic design that has evolved from traditional French styling.
Made in Europe, the subtle neutral, grey and pastel paint finishes beautifully contrast the engineered European oak tops and the contemporary nickel-plated hardware. With soft rounded corners the design suits both modern and more classic country living interiors.
The bedside table features 2 drawers with nickel knobs, plus a secret drawer hidden under the oak top. All drawers run on metal runners for easy use. Photographed here in Toasted Almond with lacquered Oak tops.
The furniture is finished in the colours of your choice. Personalise to suit your room by selecting a paint finish for the body of the furniture and then an oak wood finish to complete the tops of your furniture.
All oak used in the collection is sourced from sustainable and responsibly managed European forests, which is then kiln dried with our manufacturers so they have full control and traceability over the quality from start to finish.

In terms of the materials used it is indeed A grade solid European oak tops on a solid wooden frame which is steamed to produce the curved corners. There is definitely no MDF used in this furniture. There is some HDF (high density fibreboard) used on the panels, which is an incredibly tough and durable material, to avoid any shrinkage or movement in the furniture in warm environments. Plus it takes the clarity of the paint, giving a crisp high quality finish with no bleed through. The weight of the furniture is further testament to the quality.
